Breast cancer is a life-threatening disease that affects millions of women worldwide. It is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women, accounting for approximately 15% of all cancer-related deaths. In this article, we will discuss the importance of breast cancer awareness, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options. Breast cancer occurs when abnormal cells in the breast tissue grow and multiply uncontrollably, forming a tumor. There are several types of breast cancer, including Ductal carcinoma: Begins in the milk ducts, Lobular carcinoma: Begins in the lobules (milk-producing glands), Inflammatory breast cancer: A rare and aggressive type and Metastatic breast cancer: Cancer that spreads to other parts of the body.

Early detection is crucial for effective treatment. Be aware of the symptoms such as Lump or thickening in the breast or underarm area, Change in breast size or shape , Dimpling or puckering of the skin ,Redness or scaliness of the skin , Nipple discharge or change in nipple position , Pain or tenderness in the breast.

factors such as Family history, Genetic mutations, Dense breast tissue and Hormone replacement therapy increase the risk of developing breast cancer. for evaluation and confirmation clinical breast examination, ultrasound or MRI can be done.

in the process of treatment there are various type of therapy such as  Radiation therapy, Chemotherapy , Hormone therapy and Targeted therapy. Breast cancer is a treatable disease if detected early. Awareness, regular screenings, and a healthy lifestyle can significantly reduce the risk.
